Q: Does the Hope Club have special rules of etiquette?
A: Yes, we ask members and guests to:

  • Please respect the privacy of Hope Club members and guests.

  • Members and guests must abide by the Club dress code at all times while in the Clubhouse. Hats, coats, and hand luggage must be left in the coatroom or kept in guest bedrooms. The use of identification badges shall be confined to private meeting rooms.

  • Use of cell phones and all electronic devices is prohibited in all public and dining areas of the Hope Club. Display and exchange of business or personal papers, date books and the use of laptops is also prohibited.

  • Private meeting rooms may be reserved within which such papers may be displayed or exchanged. Published materials such as books, magazines and newspapers are welcome in the Reading Room and Grill Room. Phone booths are available under the stairs for cell phone conversations.

Q: What is the dress code?
A: Dining Room: 
Men are required to wear jacket and tie.  Women to be dressed accordingly.

    Grill Room, Ames Court and Private Dining Rooms:

    Business Appropriate attire.  Men are not required to wear a tie.  Jacket encouraged.  Women to be dressed accordingly.

    *Denim is not acceptable attire anywhere in the Clubhouse.

Q: Do I need to be a member or guest of a member to use the facilities?
A: Yes. For inquiries on the use of the Club for corporate events and special occasions such as weddings or to learn more about membership, click here.

Q: Where may I use my cell phone or laptop?
A: Technology Policy:  Cell phones and Electronic Devices.

So as not to interfere with the peaceful enjoyment of the Club, and to show respect for fellow Members, the use of portable electronic devices (cell and smart phones, tablets, laptops, wearable devices, pagers and the like) in the Club is strictly limited in accordance with the following rules:

All electronic devices are to be kept in your pocket or handbag.  They are to be placed in silent mode when entering the Clubhouse.

               

If you need to converse on your cellphone, please use:
         The two telephone booths outside the Grill Room

         The private rooms upstairs at the discretion of the
Member in charge of the meeting
         The guest bedrooms

If you need to send or receive a text or email, please use:
        The two telephone booths outside the Grill Room

        The Backgammon Room by the Club’s front door

        The private rooms upstairs at the discretion of the
Member in charge of the meeting
        The guest bedrooms

If you would like to use your tablet or phone solely to read, feel free to do so in:
       The Reading Room

       The Grill Room

       The Backgammon Room by the Club’s front door

       The private rooms upstairs at the discretion of the
Member in charge of the meeting
       The guest bedrooms


Q: Is parking available?
A: Complimentary on-site parking is available in our lot. Attendant parking is offered as needed.

Q: What is the tipping policy?
A: Club Employees are not permitted to accept gratuities.
